Detailed Itinerary


Day 1 | Doi Suthep – Old City Temples – Handicraft Villages


Pick up from your hotel and drive through the scenic road of Doi Suthep–Pui National Park to visit Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. Walk up the famous 306 Naga steps or take the funicular to reach the sacred golden pagoda at approximately 1,100 meters above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views over Chiang Mai city and receive an optional monk blessing.

Continue to Chiang Mai Old City to visit:

  • Wat Suan Dok – royal temple with northern royal family stupas

  • Wat Chedi Luang – home to Chiang Mai’s largest ancient pagoda

  • Wat Chiang Man – the city’s first temple, featuring revered Buddha images

After lunch at a local restaurant, head east to San Kamphaeng Handicraft Villages, where you’ll explore traditional crafts such as wood carving, silverware, silk weaving, cotton, lacquerware, Saa paper umbrellas, gemstones, and jewelry—perfect for souvenirs and gifts.

Day 2 | Ethical Elephant Experience – Long Neck Village – Sticky Waterfall


Depart Chiang Mai in the morning toward Mae Taeng for an ethical elephant experience. Change into a traditional mahout outfit and learn how to care for elephants responsibly. Feed them, walk alongside them through nature, and bathe them in the river.

After lunch, visit a Long Neck hill tribe village, learning about their unique traditions and cultural heritage. Continue to Wat Ban Den (Den Sali Sri Muang Kaen Temple), a stunning teakwood temple complex with elaborate Lanna-style architecture and guardian sculptures.

End the day at Bua Tong Sticky Waterfall, where you can climb barefoot up the limestone waterfall and cool off in crystal-clear water before returning to Chiang Mai.

Day 3 | Doi Inthanon National Park – Soft Trek – Waterfalls


Travel south to Doi Inthanon National Park, home to Thailand’s highest peak at 2,565 meters above sea level. Visit the summit and the stupa of King Inthawichayanon, followed by a walk along the Ang Ka Nature Trail.

Explore the Twin Royal Pagodas built in honor of King Bhumibol and Queen Sirikit, then stop at a Hmong hill tribe market for fresh produce grown under the Royal Project.

Begin a soft trek to Pha Dok Siew Waterfall, guided by a Karen villager. Walk through lush forest, rice terraces, and coffee plantations, swim at the waterfall, and enjoy freshly brewed Arabica coffee in the village. End the journey at Wachirathan Waterfall before returning to Chiang Mai.
