Detailed Itinerary
Day 1 | Chiang Mai – Doi Suthep – Doi Inthanon
Pick up from your hotel in Chiang Mai and travel to Doi Suthep Temple, the city’s most sacred site. Climb the 306 steps or take the funicular to admire the golden Lanna-style pagoda and panoramic views of Chiang Mai.
Continue southwest to Doi Inthanon National Park, Thailand’s highest peak. Visit the Twin Royal Pagodas of King Rama IX and Queen Sirikit, surrounded by beautiful flower gardens and cool mountain air.
Overnight in a Karen hill tribe village at Mae Klang Luang, enjoying a homemade local dinner.

Day 2 | Pha Dok Siew Trek – Sticky Waterfall – Chiang Dao
After breakfast, begin a soft trek to Pha Dok Siew Waterfall, guided by a local Karen villager. Walk through evergreen forest, rice terraces, and Arabica coffee plantations linked to the Royal Project. Enjoy time for swimming at the waterfall.
After lunch, continue to Buathong Sticky Waterfall, where you can safely climb the limestone cascades barefoot.
Travel north to Chiang Dao and check in at a peaceful tree house lodge, surrounded by mountains and forest.

Day 3 | Forest Walk – Chiang Dao Cave – Thaton

In the afternoon, explore Chiang Dao Cave, famous for its impressive stalactites and stalagmites. Then travel north to Thaton.

Day 4 | Mae Kok River – Long Neck Village – Mae Salong – Chiang Rai
Depart Thaton and board a long-tail boat along the Mae Kok River, enjoying riverside scenery and village life.
Visit a Long Neck (Padong Karen) Village, learning about their traditions and unique cultural identity. Continue to Doi Mae Salong, famous for its tea plantations and mountain views.
Stop at a local Akha village before continuing to Chiang Rai.
